Site Engineer
Responsibilities: Coordinate with stakeholders (QPD, QPS, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities) to ensure efficient project execution Oversee day-to-day site operations for underpass and geotechnical works Supervise subcontractors and workers, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and technical specifications Monitor geotechnical instrumentation and ground conditions to ensure structural stability and safety Conduct regular site inspections to track progress and ensure adherence to approved methods Review and optimize engineering processes to improve efficiency and productivity Prepare and implement method statements, work procedures, and technical documentation Develop and maintain project schedules, progress reports (daily, weekly, monthly), and Annex C submissions Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to secure resources and resolve technical issues Identify and address site challenges (e.g., ground conditions, design discrepancies) and raise RFIs where necessary Ensure accuracy in site setting out, monitoring works, and compliance with geotechnical design requirements Support the Project Manager in liaising with authorities to meet regulatory and submission requirements Attend site meetings and coordinate with clients and consultants on project progress Oversee QA/QC processes and ensure all works meet contract specifications Maintain proper documentation, including site records, reports, and inspection logs Ensure all testing, monitoring, and inspections comply with project and contractual requirements Monitor resource utilization to minimize waste and improve cost efficiency Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field Experience in pipe jacking, tunnelling, or mining works preferred Minimum relevant experience in geotechnical works and site supervision Strong ability to manage site coordination, technical issues, and project progress Good knowledge of safety regulations and geotechnical construction standards Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
