As a teacher working at a student care centre which provides after-school care for primary school students, my job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring the safe return of students from school to the centre and supervising the completion of their school homework. I play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for the students to learn and grow in. When necessary, I intervene in conflicts between the students to straighten things out as well as to correct any problematic behaviour. I believe in the need for early intervention and to nurture children from young using logic and reasoning, and to provide them with a safe space to grow and to learn to express their thoughts and feelings.
