Job Title: Video Editing Intern (6 Months)
Company: Back Button Media
Location: Singapore
Commitment: Full-Time Internship (6 Months)
About Us
Back Button Media is a fast-paced, close-knit video production agency specializing in high-quality corporate videos, dynamic 2D motion graphics, and engaging event highlights. We pride ourselves on pushing creative boundaries and delivering impactful stories for our clients.
The Role
We are looking for a driven, highly communicative, and creative Video Editing Intern to join our team. This isn’t your typical "sit in the corner and log footage" internship. We believe in providing holistic, end-to-end exposure to the entire creative process. You will be working directly alongside our core team, getting hands-on experience in bringing a project from the drawing board to the final export.
What You’ll Be Doing (and Learning!)
Video Editing & Post-Production: Cut and assemble raw footage into polished, compelling videos using industry-standard software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects).
Motion Graphics: Learn and apply basic 2D motion graphics and kinetic typography to elevate video content.
On-Set Production: Step out of the editing bay and assist on active filming sites to understand how footage is captured for the edit.
Creative Ideation: Participate in team brainstorms, storyboarding, and conceptualizing style frames for upcoming campaigns.
Client Management: Get trained in the business side of production, learning how to manage client feedback, versioning, and professional communication.
Who We're Looking For
A strong passion for video editing, storytelling, and digital media.
Basic proficiency in video editing software (experience with AI generative tools or motion graphics is a huge plus, but not required).
A proactive learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills—you can listen carefully to instructions, ask the right questions, and collaborate well within a small team.
What We Offer
Direct Mentorship: Receive dedicated, on-the-job training from experienced industry professionals.
Career Progression: This role is designed for growth. Upon successful completion of the 6-month internship, there is strong potential for an extension for advanced training, a transition into a freelance role, or conversion to a full-time position.
Portfolio Building: Walk away with real-world, commercial projects to add to your showreel.
How to Apply
Please send your resume and a link to your showreel or portfolio to [email protected].
Interview & Compatibility Assessment Test will be required with a 2-week probation prior to accepting.
