Freelance Educational Therapist / Occupational Therapist / Speech & Language Therapist Role Overview Special Needs Tutoring (SNT) is seeking passionate and dedicated freelance Educational Therapists (ETs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), and Speech & Language Therapists (SLTs) to join our growing multidisciplinary team. As an SNT therapist, you will provide personalised, evidence-based intervention to children with diverse learning and developmental needs, working collaboratively with families to help every child reach their full potential. This freelance role offers flexible working hours, competitive hourly remuneration, and the autonomy to accept cases that align with your availability and expertise. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify each child's strengths, challenges, and therapy goals. Plan and deliver individualised, evidence-based intervention sessions. Develop engaging therapy activities tailored to each child's learning and developmental needs. Monitor, document, and evaluate each child's progress, adjusting intervention plans as required. Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, providing updates, strategies, and recommendations for continued support at home. Prepare professional session notes, progress reports, and documentation in a timely manner. Collaborate with other professionals involved in the child's care when appropriate. Maintain high ethical and professional standards, ensuring client confidentiality at all times. Manage your own appointment schedule and maintain clear communication regarding availability. Foster a positive, supportive, and motivating environment that encourages children to develop confidence and independence. Requirements Essential Qualifications Degree or recognised qualification in: Education (Educational Therapy or Special Education) Occupational Therapy Speech and Language Therapy Relevant professional certification or registration where applicable. Experience working with children with special educational needs and/or developmental differences. Skills and Experience Strong knowledge of evidence-based intervention strategies. Experience supporting children with learning difficulties, dyslexia, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, developmental delays, speech and language disorders, or sensory processing differences. Excellent assessment, planning, and report-writing skills. Ability to adapt intervention strategies to meet individual learning profiles. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Comfortable working independently as a freelance professional. Soft Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, patient, and child-centred approach. Professional, reliable, and accountable. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Ability to build trusting relationships with children and families.
